A man was hiking near Mt St Helens when it erupted what he captured is incredible. We take a look at the amazing photo that was taken near Mt Adams. Mount St. Helens erupted on May the 18th 1980. The volcano, located in southwestern Washington, used to be a beautiful symmetrical cone about 9,600 feet above sea level. The eruption, which removed the upper 1,300 feet of the summit, left a horseshoe-shaped crater and a barren wasteland. Today the land is healing, having recovered its natural beauty, but the landscape has been permanently altered. Thank you for watching! Thank you to CO.AG...
What I found on Mt. St. Helens - This has been amazing to explore Climbing to the top of Mt. Saint Helens and looking down into the massive crater below was a truly amazing bucket list item for me. It was the hardest climb of my life, but absolutely worth it. However I had no idea of the unbelievable magnitude of destruction the eruption left below the mountain. St. Helens erupted May 18th 1980 with such force that it changed the surrounding landscape and destroyed everything in it. Finding all the mangled abandoned trucks still sitting on the county side...

Kilauea's 19-day eruption showed no sign of easing, with repeated explosions at its summit and fountains of lava up to 160 feet (50 m) from giant cracks or fissures on its flank. Lava edged towards a geothermal power plant on Tuesday after destroying an old warehouse near the facility, County of Hawaii Civil Defense said. Workers at the closed Puna Geothermal Venture, which provided around 25 percent of electricity on Hawaii's Big Island, worked to cap the last of three pressurized wells to reduce the risk of an uncontrolled release of toxic gases should they be inundated by lava. An explosive eruption...
