This is a very rough and sloppily played tribute to seb17320's excellent "Mos-Lab 15 demo" video. I wanted to see if I could pull-off something close using three Moog Mother-32s. The playing is really rough (due to attempting to play a solo on the little buttons instead of keys) the sequence is not very close to the original, and the video editing in general is crap (I couldn't figure out how to do Seb's 4-way split screen) but I hope everyone can appreciate the spirit that this demo was intended in! I used a touch of Valhalla VintageVerb on each...
Harmonic patch using the new MakeNoise tELHARMONIC is a Multi-Voice, Multi-Algorithm synthesizer, and 4ms Spectral Multiband Resonator. The master clock is the Tiptop Circadian Rhythms. Clock output running into the Modcan Touch Sequencer. Channel output one running into one intellijel Dixie (V1) for the bassline. Dixie output running into a Mutable instruments Ripples filter (LP4), triangle waveform. Second channel output sequencing quantized 8 note sequence to the telharmonic oscillator, creating the first lead sequence in the patch (major scale set). One Mult output taken and sent to the Strymon BigSky reverb pedal to create the delicate swarm pads that rise...

Someone wise once told me all you would need to play a live set was a DrumBrute and a distortion unit. I thought I would put that to the test. Live jam on 2 Meeblips and an Arturia DrumBute. Novation Launchpad used for triggers clips and effects. OP-1 used as MIDI controller for the Meeblips. Ableton for recording and FX. Exploring the audio rate modulation of the Pulse Width on the Moog Mother 32 along with the TC Electronic Hall of Fame Reverb gives us some incredible sonic possibilities! NOTE: The incredibly rich harmonics and frequencies that this synth produces requires good quality studio monitors or headphones to fully experience, and please use the 'HD' version on YouTube for best results. This video is for beginners interested in exploring modular synthesis. It explains what a modular synth is, different types of modules, and how to create a first patch. I try to go step by step and use Pressure Points and Brains as a sequencer to run the Dixie ii+ oscillator, Peaks for envelopes, and the Echophon delay. If you enjoy, consider subscribing or becoming a Patreon supporter: https://www.patreon.com/modularlanding For those interested, I also have an experimental album made entirely of live, improvised modular performances made with my set-up available here: https://modularlanding.bandcamp.com/ I also do non-modular music: https://www.brendanoz.com/ Thank you for your interest!
did a live improv jam on The new #arturia #drumbrute #impact. Arturia sent me it a few days ago and i haven't gone super deep into it, but it was easy to work out as there is a lot of function crossovers with the beatstep pro which i know well. everything was set to 11, especially the built in distortion. The drumbrute impact is going in dry with no effects. so you can make your own minds up, im showcasing what i like about it. The audio and multitrack stems for you to mess with will be available on my patreon in...
Monophonic synth or polyphonic synth? You’ve considered things like type of synthesis (analog versus digital), size, number of keys, and connectivity. You’ve thought about new versus vintage and weighed the pros and cons of both. You’ve made a list of different manufacturers, visited shops to try them out, and watched countless hours of demos on YouTube. But now the question is: Which do you need? Justin Delay is here to help make the decision less intimidating. Mother-32 is a distinctively vintage-voiced semi-modular analog performance and production synthesizer. It is meticulously handcrafted to inspire unique sound creation, new music and endless sonic exploration. During the prototype phase, Moog worked with 3 unique synthesists: Erika (Interdimensional Transmissions), Max Ravitz (Ghostly International), and Bana Haffar to produce a video that explores Mother-32’s vast capabilities. Through performance and sound design, each artist displays the extensive vocabulary found within Mother-32. All patches were performed live, with no overdubs.
