KORG Volca sample, bass, beats, keys: TECHNO #3

Here it is: The Korg Volca techno #3 :). Everything is pure Volca sound (beside the Korg Monotron wich add some delay to the Volca Bass). No post processing. Recorded with an Apogee Duet audio interface. The Volca sample is used for some additional drums (factory preset samples), the bass sound (one shot sampled from the Volca Bass) and the short "beep" sound (one shot sampled from the Volca Keys). Hope you like it. The tiny mixer is a diy passive mixer. very simple and cheap to build if you know how to solder. Perfect for the volcas. Instructions

Exploring Modular Synths Episode 0 - Beginner's Mind - Introduction and First Patch

This video is for beginners interested in exploring modular synthesis. It explains what a modular synth is, different types of modules, and how to create a first patch. I try to go step by step and use Pressure Points and Brains as a sequencer to run the Dixie ii+ oscillator, Peaks for envelopes, and the Echophon delay. If you enjoy, consider subscribing or becoming a Patreon supporter: For those interested, I also have an experimental album made entirely of live, improvised modular performances made with my set-up available here: I also do non-modular music: Thank you for your interest!

Moog Sub 37- Rhythmic and Percussive Looping

The Moog Sub 37 is a wonderful synthesizer that is capable of doing many of the classic Moog sounds but is also capable of going into very different sonic territory. This video explores the use of tempo sync'ed looping envelopes and LFO's to create rich, modulation based, rhythmic material without the use of the sequencer or incoming midi data. You can hear the Sub 37 in many of the tracks on my most recent release- iVardensphere: Fable The video is made in conjunction with Long and McQuade Music Instruments. If you're in Canada and want to check out a Sub 37,...

A Brief History of the Minimoog Part I

Follow the life of the Minimoog Synthesizer from its inception through its prolific contributions to poplular music throughout the last 4 decades. In this first installment documenting the journey of the Minimoog synth through the 1970's, we explore the musicians and the people that were instrumental in bringing the instrument to prominence. We also sit with one of Moog Music's earliest engineers, Bill Hemsath, who recalls the process of the Minimoog's birth and sheds some light on what sets the Moog synthesizer apart from other analog synths. Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe | Resonance | Performance | Exploratorium

Join us for the fifth event in the series, this time featuring Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, an artist and multi-instrumentalist who works with voice to create spontaneous and ecstatic musical compositions. Lowe—who also performs under the moniker Lichens—uses effects boxes to loop guitars, percussion, and vocals to form a reverberating drone. His most recent performances and recordings, such as Timon Irnok Manta and Lítió Fólk, have combined his voice with modular synthesizer patch compositions. Lowe believes that the sensitivity of analogue modular sound systems echoes the organic nature of vocal expression, and that the two together can induce a trancelike state...
