This is the World's Loneliest Tree

Tucked away in a corner of London's Royal Botanic Gardens, there is a very peculiar plant. At first glance, it resembles a stumpy palm tree, but this ancient specimen is incredibly rare. It is, in fact, the very last of its kind on Earth. Encephalartos woodii is a cycad, a type of plant that once dominated the planet during the Jurassic Period. Over the millennia, the age of the cycad came to an end. And in the case of Encephalartos Woodii, we may have been left with only one—a single male specimen. This tree is the loneliest bachelor on Earth. SUBSCRIBE:...

This Pink Winged Stick Insect is Hiding in Plain Sight

This is a pink winged stick insect at the Montreal Zoo. These guys have quite the camouflage on them. Despite growing up to 21 inches in length, these insects are able to hide in plain sight, blending in among sticks and foliage. Deer Tries To Show Family Something In Backyard – When They See It, They Call 911

I’m always fascinated when I see wild animals up close. I’ve been lucky enough to see both moose and deer at close range. Whenever that’s happened, I just stop and remain as quiet as possible so as not to scare them away. But for police officer Kevin Zieschang and one deer named “Uncle Buck” from Texas, USA, there was no need to remain silent. As this was a deer that in fact was not at all afraid of people.
